Stourbridge defence problems.
Stourbridge’s Jordan Archer did have a shot blocked for a corner on 51 minutes but immediately Grantham countered with Harry Clayton carrying the ball forward and Lee Shaw’s final cross was blocked.
Stourbridge used Tom Tonks long throws at every opportunity but Grantham’s defence dealt with them.
Stourbridge had a spell of pressure on the hour but it was Grantham who scored again on 65 minutes when Barcelos outpaced the Stourbridge defence on the right and cut the ball back to Clayton who turned on the edge of the box and fired an unstoppable shot past Gould.
There was an incident on 67 minutes when Jordan Archer was late challenging Grantham’s keeper as he cleared the ball and Grantham assistant manager Danny Martin was sent to the stand for his protests.
Stourbridge kept going but couldn’t break the Grantham defence and the home side were always dangerous on the break.
Stourbridge did get a consolation goal in added time at the end of the half when Grantham only cleared the ball to the edge of the box and sub Heath drove in through a packed area into the net.
Grantham played out the remaining minute of the game to take a well-deserved three points and extend their unbeaten run to 16 games.
