AFTER two big defeats in the space of four days, it will be interesting to see now just how much that magnificent FA Cup run has taken out of Lincoln City and their revered management pair of Danny and Nicky Cowley.

Irrespective of the outcome of yesterday’s game with Forest Green, and the fact the Imps have three games in hand, the sight of Forest Green going three points clear at the top on Tuesday night after a disappointing defeat at Boreham Wood will have given the Gloucestershire side a huge psychological boost.

The prospect of Lincoln finishing such a memorable season with nothing just doesn’t bear thinking about!
