AM I alone in being a tad uncomfortable with the current goings-on at Billericay Town.

My friendly local Ryman League club has suddenly descended into a reality TV media circus, orchestrated by The Only Way Is Essex ‘star’ Mark Wright and now Celebrity Big

Brother’s Jamie O’Hara. Mega-rich owner Glenn Tamplin is obviously a very ambitious man and is not afraid to put his money where his mouth is, signing the likes of Paul Konchesky and, this week, Jake Robinson, in a record £24,000 deal.

I just hope this doesn’t end in tears, or come at the expense of the club’s heart and soul.
