HARROW B 0 STAINES T 0

- By James Clouting STAR MAN: Sean Preddie (Harrow Borough) ENTERTAINMENT:

HARROW fought out their second goalless draw of the week with Staines.

But Staines will rue the poor finishing which prevented them from taking all three points.

They created the clearest opening of a dour first half when Tom Collins’ pass found Mo Bettamer, whose left-foot shot was well saved by Luke Williams with his legs.

The Swans should have had the game won around the hour mark, with Bettamer guilty of wasting two glorious opportunities. Firstly, he was found unmarked at the back post but volleyed wide from six yards.

Seconds later he was clean through but chose the tighter near-post option and shot into the side netting.

The visitors had a third clearcut chance minutes later when they broke quickly from a Harrow corner.

Tom Collins was one-on-one with Williams but dragged his effort wide.

Harrow’s best attempt came in the middle of that spell of Staines dominance when Swans keeper Jack Turner made a sharp save to his left from Lheureux Menga.
