CELTS IN HOLE AS WALSHAW SENT OFF

- By Paul Hatt

BAMBER BR 2 FARSLEY CELT 0

FARSLEY’S recent run of poor form continued as they slipped to a third defeat in four games.

The game was effectively over at the break as two headers, one on 19 minutes from Chris Marlow and the other ten minutes later from substitute Josh Heaton, put Brig in the driving seat.

All Farsley’s best chances came in the opening half. In the first minute, Lloyd Rigby pulled off a smart save from a Paul Walker freekick and was alert again, this time saving well from James Walshaw.

With the Celts two behind, their task was made even more difficult when Walshaw, just returned from a fourmatch ban, was sent off for an alleged elbow.
