TULIPS FIND LEEK’S DEFENCE WILTING
LEEK TOWN 0 SPALDING UTD 4
SPALDING consolidated third place in the South table at the expense of Leek who have now lost five times on the bounce.
They played well enough for 25 minutes until Bradley Wells escaped the offside flag to put the Tulips in front.
Two minutes later, Jordan Lemon found the back of the net with a speculative screamer.
Former Leek midfielder Nathan Whitehead netted a third while, on the stroke of half-time, Cenk Acar made it four.
Leek went three at the back in the second half and might have conceded a fifth but Blues goalkeeper Ben Chapman saved Lee Beeson’s penalty kick.
