GRESLEY SNATCH VICTORY ONBREAK

- By Gary Salisbury

STAMFORD 0 GRESLEY 1

GRESLEY performed the perfect smash and grab after Stamford had dominated play.

They took their first chance of the game, leaving the Daniels frustrated.

Stamford started well, with Jordan Smith heading Laurie Wilson’s cross wide and were even closer when Jon Challinor's long throw was superbly headed by Wilson only for James Flinders to pull off a superb save.

Stamford were again thwarted after the break by a goalline clearence.

Gresley scored with their only real chance when the ball was played out wide to Reece Morris who cut inside and fired a low shot past Sam Donkin.

Stamford couldn't break down the Gresley defence in the remaining time.
