SALTASH UNITED suffered their first home league loss of the season as midtable Launceston won 3-2 at the Kimberley Stadium.

The Ashes, in second, missed a big chance to close the gap on non-playing leaders Tavistock.

The Clarets came from behind with fine goals from Jack Alexander, who bagged a brace, and Lewis Young.

Plymouth Argyle Reserves, in third, suffered a surprise 3-0 home loss to Bodmin Town, who climbed a place to fourth, while St Austell fell a spot to fifth after a 2-0 home loss to Exmouth Town, who jumped two places to sixth.

Cullompton Rangers romped to an emphatic 5-1 success at Camelford.

Falmouth Town won 4-0 at lowly Ivybridge Town, while Godolphin Atlantic lost 2-1 at Helston Athletic. Luke Tripconey and Mattie Buchan scored the decisive goals for the hosts.

Third-bottom Witheridge lost 4-3 to second-bottom visitors Newquay and unfit pitches caused the postponeme­nts of Plymouth Parkway versus Torpoint Athletic and Callington Town versus basement boys St Blazey.
