MCGHEE LEAVES STAGS IN A DAZE
EVESHAM set about AFC Totton with a devastating first-half display which left the Stags trailing 3-0 at the interval.
Mark McGhee stepped up to score the Robins’ first from a penalty after Dave Allen’s handball.
McGhee added a second goal on 34 minutes after he turned and shot home from eight yards.
Then Carl Brown added the third with a low shot from 25 yards.
After the break, Totton awoke from their slumber and Nathaniel Sherborne’s penalty on 80 minutes gave them a glimmer of hope. Three minutes from time, Curtis Young fired home for Totton after good work by Alfy Whittingham.
But Evesham then finished the game off when Paul Fahy finished in a one-on-one situation.
