WILL LEAVES JODY AS A SOLE MAN

-

JODY BANIM will go it alone as manager of Evo-Stik NPL Premier side Ashton United after his joint-boss Will Haining stepped down to spend more time with his young family.

Banim and Haining stepped up to replace Paul Phillips and Steve Halford in September after they opted to take over at National League North side Stalybridge Celtic.

The pair, who were already with Ashton before taking over, have helped to steady the ship and the Robins finished in mid-table as they said goodbye to Haining after yesterday’s home game against Ilkeston.

Ashton chairman Terry Hollis said: “Will has been an absolute pleasure to work with.”
