DUNSTABLE T 2 CINDERFORD T 0

- By Paul Harris

GOALS in either half saw an eager Dunstable Town side defeat already-relegated Cinderford Town.

Zack Reynolds and Nathan Olukanmi showed creativity on either flank for the Blues, but their finishing was inaccurate, while James Verney’s shot on target was saved by away keeper Cameron Clarke.

The Foresters had to defend in depth and held firm for almost half an hour before they conceded.

Claudio Diaz, who had already come close, converted Reynolds’ fine cross to score Dunstable’s first goal since April 1.

Cinderford then had a decent chance but Billy Guest was unable to make the most of it.

The Blues doubled their lead on the hour mark when Harry Bean sent in a high cross from the right that Joshua Oyinsan neatly converted.

Craig Norman’s shot signalled some Foresters pressure, but the finishing was poor.

Dunstable playermanager Tony Fontenelle came on as a substitute in his last ever appearance for the club as a player.

He almost capped it with a goal, but was neatly denied in the box when his shot was deflected behind.

Diaz’s fierce shot went past the post and Blues substitute Adam Moussi tested Clarke.

Fontenelle’s freekick from the right saw Bradley Hewitt head over and a late corner saw Oyinsan miss the target by inches.
