WOODS REVIVAL WORTH A POINT
AFC DUNSTABLE went into this game with some play-off hopes remaining but that vanished with Egham’s win over Barton Rovers.
The Woods had not won in16 games but took a shock lead after 38 minutes when Louis Bircham outpaced his marker to slip a shot inside the post.
They still led into the second half, with the defence well-marshalled by player manager Mark Burgess.
But AFC finally levelled on 64 minutes through a Terry Griffiths header that bounced up and into the roof of the net.
Dunstable continued to press but missed a couple of good opportunities and had to settle for just a point.
