VISITORS ARE LEFT FEELING CHIPPER

- By Liam Willis

HASTINGS United ended their campaign against Chipstead with the same result as the meeting between these two sides earlier this season.

The Arrows, who will travel to Dorking Wanderers in the semi-finals of the Ryman League Division One South play-offs, fell behind to Dylan Cascoe’s early effort but a strike either side of halftime from Kiernan Hughes-Mason turned the game on its head.

A further goal from Danny Leonard gave the hosts a two-goal cushion with 20 minutes to go.

However, sloppy defending from the Arrows allowed Karl Parker to halve the deficit and the Chips snatched a share of the spoils through a Carl O’Flaherty penalty.
