BARKING topped the 100-point mark with a 2-0 win at Southend Manor, with leading scorer Joe Pearman bagging both goals.

Clapton are now guaranteed second place after they hammered Burnham Ramblers 7-0 in front of a crowd of 684.

This is Clapton’s best finish in any league since the late 1980s and the second best since the 1930s.

Johnny Ashman opened the scoring with a penalty after 34 minutes and Aundre Spencer doubled the lead three minutes later.

In the second half, Nathan Cook netted a double and there were also goals for Dylan Yebengo, Steve Sardinha and Ryan Reed.

Two Thomases were on target for Sawbridgew­orth Town as they won 2-0 at Ilford. Aaron got the first and Jack got the second.

West Essex rounded off their first season in the league with a comfortabl­e 4-0 victory over Tower Hamlets. Isaac Marfo, Joe Lesley, Michael Mignot and Cameron Gray all got their names on the scoresheet.

FC Romania are now guaranteed to finish third, but they were held to a 1-1 draw at Basildon United. Yew Danso opened the scoring for United and Toby Cleaver netted the equaliser after the interval.

And in the day’s other game, Stansted won 2-1 at Redbridge.
