CHAMPIONS Atherton Collieries were handed their sixth defeat of the season as Runcorn Town beat the promoted side 2-1.

Joe Holt scored an injury time winner for the visitors minutes after Craig Cairns had cancelled out a Jordan Cover opener.

Runcorn Linnets netted eight as they trounced AFC Darwen with no reply thanks to a Anthony Hickey hattrick.

Elsewhere, 1874 Northwich held on to a 2-1 victory against Nelson thanks to first-half goals from Joseph Wooley and Jack Lever.

AFC Liverpool earned a 2-2 draw with Hanley Town thanks to a 63rd minute Michael White penalty.

Barnoldswi­ck Town were 2-1 winners over Winsford United thanks to goals from Ben Gorman and Zack Dale. Matthew Kay netted a hat-trick as West Didsbury & Chorlton beat Bootle 5-3.

Irlam ran out 5-2 victors at Cammell Laird 1907 thanks to braces from John Main and Liam Morrison, with Marcus Perry netting the other.

Congleton Town were 6-1 winners against Abbey Hey with Richard Bailey, Declan Fletcher, two, Callum Garden and Brian Matthew, two, all scoring.

Both Ash Susani and Luke Holden netted in the opening ten minutes as Ashton Athletic won 2-0 at Maine Road.

New Mills drew 3-3 with Squires Gate, while Mark Coyne netted a brace as Padiham beat Barnton 2-0.

NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

RYAN BLOTT went one better than the last-day hat-trick heroes by firing home all of Pickering Town’s goals in a 4-1 fightback victory at AFC Mansfield.

Matt Plummer had given the hosts an early lead but Blott levelled 11 minutes before half-time and then struck another three after the interval to help his side finish on an impressive 97 points.

Joe Walton rattled home a treble as Liversedge saw off Retford, while Alex Cusack also scored three as Albion Sports won 3-2 at Harrogate Railway Athletic. The fourth-bottom hosts had led through Adam Carter and then Albert Ibrahimi before Carter weaved his magic.

The game of the day saw relegated Barton Town Old Boys lose 5-4 at home to Parkgate. Gary Bradshaw, Will Waudby and Ryan Williams, twice, netted for the hosts, while Dan Harris, Kieran Hurst and Alex Lill were among Parkgate’s scorers.

Champions Cleethorpe­s left the Northern Counties East League on a high by completing their own comeback in a 2-1 win at Athersley.

Craig Morley struck as the hosts looked to inflict a fifth loss of the campaign on the FA Vase finalists but Marc Cooper equalised just after half-time and then notched the winner five minutes from the end.

Meanwhile, Penistone Church will be lining up in the Premier Division next season after winning 4-2 at Grimsby Borough in the play-off final.

UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE

CHAMPIONS Peterborou­gh Sports underlined their superiorit­y with a resounding 4-2 victory over FA Vase battlers Newport Pagnell Town.

Hotshot Avelino Viera gave them an early lead and further goals came from Josh Moreman and Daniel Buccierro.

Leicester Nirvana chairman Kirk Master was left beaming with pride after his son Shaquille helped himself to two goals in their 3-2 home win over Huntingdon Town. Jordan Nelson grabbed the other to end the misery of the relegated basement club.

Ryan Rushen helped himself to two goals as Sleaford Town beat visitors Oadby Town 4-2, the other goals coming from Tom Siddons and Jake Fenton.

Adam Randall snatched a 90thminute winner for Wellingbor­ough Town in their 2-1 win at Holbeach United. Adam Speight had given the visitors the lead after five minutes.

Yaxley hit five without reply at Northampto­n ON Chenecks, with James Hill-Seekings helping himself to a hat-trick and Joe Butterwort­h and Dan Cotton grabbing one each.

Skipper Luke Stone and Ryan Dove were on target for Cogenhoe United in their 2-1 home win over Harborough Town.

Peterborou­gh Northern Star returned from Kirby Muxloe with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Wilkins Mackate and Jake Mason.

Boston Town, who recently avoided relegation, continued their recent fine form by holding second-placed visitors Deeping Rangers to a goalless draw.

Elsewhere, Eynesbury Rovers beat visitors Desborough Town 2-0, Northampto­n Sileby Rangers won 4-0 at Rothwell Corinthian­s and Wisbech Town thrashed Harrowby United 5-0.

MIDLAND LEAGUE

CHAMPIONS Alvechurch rounded off their season with a 3-0 victory at home to Rocester on a day when they were also presented with their Midland League Premier trophy.

Danny Dubidat scored twice for Church with Josh March rounding things off – all the goals coming in the second half.

At the other end of the table there was misery for Walsall Wood who were relegated following their 4-0 defeat at the hands of Westfields.

Aiden Thomas did most of the damage with a hat-trick for the Herefordsh­ire club with Chris Ham netting the other.

Wood’s demise meant it was good news for relegation rivals Shawbury United and AFC Wulfrunian­s. And they celebrated with victory, Shawbury running out 3-1 winners at Brocton while Wulfs won 2-1 at Heanor Town.

Joe Lyng hit a hat-trick as Boldmere St Micheals beat Coventry United 4-3 and two goals from Michael Reeve helped Shepshed Dynamo draw 3-3 with Quorn.

It was the same scoreline at Coleshill Town where the runners-up were held by third-placed Sporting Khalsa and Stourport Swifts and St Andrews also shared the spoils in a 22 draw.

Highgate United were 4-1 winners at home to Coventry Sphinx and Long Eaton United were 4-2 victors at already relegated Tividale.

The day’s other game saw Lye Town beat Loughborou­gh University 1-0 thanks to Jack Till’s goal midway through the second half.

ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE

THE top and bottom three may have already been decided, but the Essex Senior League ended with a bang, with 32 goals in six matches.

Champions Barking were surprised 5-2 at home to Stansted.

Steve Willis scored twice for the Blues, but Stansted got a double from Sam Ashford and one each from Jack Isherwood, Jordan Holdsworth and Tom Lakin. The Airportmen scored three times in the final five minutes.

FC Romania also scored four second-half goals, George Taban getting two of them, as they won 5-3 at Burnham Ramblers, who finished one off the bottom.

Craig Heskey got two for the Ramblers and Ryan Stillwell got the other, while Dinu Bacari, Liviu Pop and Andrei Pavel got the others.

Takeley finished the season in fourth place and Charlie Cole secured a new League goalscorin­g record as they won 1-0 against Ilford. Cole’s penalty gave him 59 goals for the season.

Hullbridge Sports finally broke down Sporting Bengal through Charlie Little two minutes before half-time and added four in the final quarter thanks to Luca Frankis, Jimmy Cox, who got two, and Dean Wallace.

David Laird scored two more goals as he twice gave Barkingsid­e the lead at home to Enfield 1893. The Es equalised twice, but then conceded two more goals late on to lose 4-2.

And Waltham Forest trailed early to a Callum Jex goal, but Nana BoaykeYiad­om got two, and Kobie Ambrose got the other as they beat Southend Manor 3-2. DAVID BALLHEIMER

EASTERN COUNTIES

EASTERN COUNTIES champions Mildenhall Town signed off in style with a crushing victory over Wivenhoe Town.

Luke Butcher sent Town on their way with a hat-trick, Steve Spriggs added a double and further strikes from Arran Mackay, Luke Parkinson, Dan Brown and an own goal rounded off the scoring in a 9-0 victory.

Mildenhall were presented with the league title after the game and will now make the move up to Step 4 of the Pyramid.

Runners up Felixstowe & Walton United secured second with a 2-0 win over third-place Newmarket Town.

Gorleston finished in fourth and ended the season in the best possible way, seeing off mid-table Ely City 5-0.

Jacob Short and Kyle Ingram gave the home side the lead at half time and goals in the second period from Joel Watts, who netted twice, and Luke Goreham secured the result.

Jamie George’s double helped Great Yarmouth Town win 4-3 at Hadleigh United while Brantham Athletic narrowly overcame Haverhill Rovers 1-0.

FC Clacton ensured they didn’t finish bottom as they saw off basement club Swaffham Town. Lee Clowsley, Sam Cripps and Jake Clowsley were all on target for the Seasiders.

Ipswich Wanderers won 3-2 at Saffron Walden Town and Kirkley & Pakefield moved up to 11th in the final table following their 2-1 victory against Long Melford.

Elsewhere, Fakenham Town drew 11 with Walsham le Willows and it was the same scoreline at Godmanches­ter Rovers as Stanway Rovers headed home with a point. MICHAEL SCOTT

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS

COCKFOSTER­S gave their departing manager Dean Barker the perfect send off as they beat visiting champions London Colney 2-0.

Goals from George Ironton and Ben Andreas secured the double for Cockfoster­s over their hosts and their third place finish is the highest in the club’s history.

Second placed Hertford Town ended the season on a high as they recorded their 28th win of the season. This victory came courtesy of Phil Lowen’s 85th minute goal away to Berkhamste­d.

Wembley finish fourth after a 0-0 draw at home to Biggleswad­e United and Tring Athletic make up the top five as two quick-fire second half goals gave them a 2-1 win at Colney Heath.

Goals from Charlie Rome and Ash Kersey earned Welwyn Garden City a 2-1 win at home to relegated FC Broxbourne Borough whilst the other side in the bottom two, London Tigers, suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat at home to Leighton Town.

Elsewhere, Chris Blunden’s brace earned Oxhey Jets a 2-1 win at Hadley and Ben L’Honore also scored twice as Stotfold beat Edgware Town, 3-2.

COMBINED COUNTIES

HAT-TRICK hero George Moore ensured that rampant North Greenford United ended the Premier Division campaign in superb style.

Back in action Moore was in devastatin­g form as the hosts thrashed Sutton Common Rovers 6-0.

Moore opened the goal floodgates after 36 minutes and, following Jamal Velinor’s 44th-minute strike, the treble tonic was completed with efforts after 50 and 65 minutes.

The onslaught was completed by Sandro Costa’s 81st-minute strike and Guy Ansah-Palmer’s 88th minute closerange finish.

North Greenford climbed one place to finish 13th in the top-flight table, while Sutton Common Rovers complete their campaign in 12th spot.

Colliers Wood United finished their season in style, climbing to 15th place, triumphing 4-1 at AFC Hayes, who ended 17th, in the only other Saturday top-flight fixture.

Friday fare saw hosts Bedfont Sports beat Spelthorne Sports 1-0 in a local derby. Jake Hicks swooped for the Eagles’ 52nd-minute match winning goal, earning them an eighth-placed finish.

In Division One, champions Banstead Athletic have been celebratin­g their long awaited Premier Division return after defeating South Park Reserves 2-0.

Saturday’s Division One results saw Bagshot lose 2-0 to visitors Cobham, while Staines Lammas drew 2-2 at South Park Reserves, and second-frombottom hosts Cove beat basement boys Epsom Athletic 5-1.

HELLENIC LEAGUE

BRACKNELL TOWN will be aiming to serve up some Bank Holiday Monday revenge as they seek silverware.

The Robins are meeting Premier Division rivals Highworth Town in the eagerly awaited Bluefin Sports Hellenic League Challenge Cup Final (3pm).

The venue is Abingdon United’s Northcourt Road, a Step 4 ground until lately when United fell into the Hellenic League.

Highworth, who finished in sixth position in the final top-flight table, overturned the odds to beat Bracknell Town at Larges Lane as the title and Southern League promotion went to Thame United in an extraordin­ary finale.

The Robins have already won County Cup honours, lifting the Berks and Bucks County FA Senior Trophy, and have also been targeting a possible Reading Senior Cup final appearance.

Dave Hancock is due to return from holiday commitment­s, but Carl Davies and Jamie McClurg have had possible suspension­s looming over them.

Both finalists finished the season strongly. The Worthians also lifted the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup, although they lost 2-1 to Swindon Supermarin­e in the Wiltshire Senior Cup.

The teams have met only the twice in the league this season, Highworth Town triumphing 2-1 at Bracknell Town, while the Robins swooped to win by the same scoreline at the Worthians. DAVID GROVES

SOUTHERN COMBINATIO­N

AN 80th-minute goal from Harry Russell gave Arundel a 1-0 home win over Shoreham, whose slender championsh­ip hopes finally died.

Shoreham had most of the play throughout the game and were denied on two occasions by home goalkeeper James Fernandas while the hosts rarely troubled them at the other end in front of a crowd of 135.

Shoreham had to win the game and rely on Haywards Heath Town losing. However, Haywards Heath had other ideas and slaughtere­d Horsham YMCA 7-1 away, with Joel Daly netting two goals.

Kane Louis, Jamie Weston, Trevor McCreadie, George Hayward and Melford Simpson hit one each, with Phil Johnson responding.

Haywards Heath had earlier been given a boost after being told by the Sussex FA that they had been cleared of any wrongdoing following allegation­s of fielding ineligible players earlier in the season, and therefore were not docked any points which could have cost them the title.

Chicester City won 6-2 at bottom club Hailsham Town, with two goals from Dan Heggerty and Omar Barry and one each from Lorenzo Dolcetti and Kieran Hartley. Lancing beat visitors Wick 6-1 with Lewis Finney hitting a hat-trick.

Hassocks beat visitors Crawley Down Gatwick 3-2 with Michael Death, Liam Benson and Jack RoweHurst grabbing a goal each while Marcus Richmond, Joshua Marshall and Sam Nelson were on target for Peacehaven & Telscombe in their 3-1 win at Littlehamp­ton Town.

Pagham beat visitors AFC Uckfield Town 4-1. Elsewhere, Newhaven beat Worthing United 6-3, Eastbourne United went down 1-0 at Loxwood and Eastbourne Town defeated Broadbridg­e Heath 2-1.

WESTERN LEAGUE

BRISTOL MANOR FARM smashed through the 100 point barrier in their final fixture of the season, defeating bottom side Sherborne Town 5-0 at The Creek.

Troy Simpson scored a brace for the champions, with Ben Bament, Aron Robbins and Jordan Cox also finding the back of the net on a day of celebratio­n for Lee Lashenko’s side.

Second-place Street ended their season with a 3-1 win at home to Cadbury Heath, thanks to goals from Steve Murray, Ross McErlain and David O’Hare, while Melksham Town won the battle to finish third after defeating Wells City 5-1.

Odd Down and Buckland Athletic shared the points after battling out an entertaini­ng 3-3 draw at the Lew Hill Memorial Ground.

The visitors from Devon were two goals ahead following strikes from Jared Lewington and Charlie Johansen.

Ben Wych and Jon Sage then scored either side of the break to pull Odd Down level, before Lewington’s 28th league goal saw Buckland regain the lead, yet they couldn’t hold on and Dave Gould scored a late equaliser from the spot.

Gillingham Town claimed their fourth win in five with a triumph over Longwell Green Sports, while Brislingto­n defeated Hallen 3-0, and Bridport downed Bitton 3-2.

Archie Ferris’ late equaliser helped Clevedon Town draw 1-1 against Chipping Sodbury Town, with Bradford Town and Willand Rovers sharing the same scoreline, while Shepton Mallet drew 2-2 with Cribbs.
