ONE of the best quotes I heard last season was at Forest Green Rovers’ final Non-League home match against Maidstone United. A male fan said: “I don’t rate Christian Doidge. He’s scored 25 but missed 150!” (Stats Life, June 11). Most importantly Christian always scored when it really mattered. In 15 of 19 games in the second half of the season, he scored 17 goals including seven games consecutively. He then scored the winners in both the play-off semi-final and the historic promotion clincher at Wembley. Let’s see what he achieves in League Two!
