BRAD IS SPOT ON FOR BEAVERS

HAMPTON & RICHMOND BORO’ 1 CONCORD RANGERS 1

- By Oliver Thomas

BRADLEY HUDSON-ODOI’S 90th minute spot kick handed Hampton & Richmond Borough a point against Concord Rangers.

The Beachboys took a surprise lead 26 minutes in when the ball fell to Kyron Farrell inside the box, who sweetly struck a half volley past off guard keeper Sam Howes.

After much dominance and frustration, the Beavers’ best chance to equalise came late in the second half just before stoppage time.

A long ball found striker Marvin Morgan, who used his strength well to get in front of defender Steve King.

King had no choice but to bring him down in the area, earning himself a red card.

Hudson-Odoi was the man who stepped up and slotted his spot kick into the bottom left hand corner.

Hampton started the match brightly and nearly took the lead on just two minutes when Morgan headed down to Michael Kamara, but his backheel was somehow cleared off the line.

The Beavers came close to equalising less than five minutes into the second half when Hudson-Odoi cut in from the right, but his well struck shot rattled the post.

Hudson-Odoi’s late penalty meant that both sides had to settle for a point and leaves Concord without a league win in seven matches. STAR MAN: Christian Jolley (Hampton & Richmond Borough) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
