WELL IN! BRAD CAPS A TRINITY TRIUMPH

- TAMWORTH 1 GAINSBOROUGH T 2 By Matt Panter

TAMWORTH lost at home for the first time since the opening day of the season as struggling Gainsborough Trinity came from behind to secure a precious win.

The home side dominated the opening half and were full value for their lead coming courtesy of Reece Styche.

But the Lambs somehow contrived to throw it away after the break with Nathan Jarman and Bradley Wells earning Trinity their second league win on the road since mid-January.

Tamworth had lots of early chances with Luke Jones’ header deflected over and Styche denied by Henrich Ravas.

Callum Powell twice went close, while Styche hit the bar and Ravas denied Darryl Knights.

The Lambs were ahead on 41 minutes as Knights threaded the ball through for Styche, who beat the offside trap and coolly slotted home.

Trinity were level two minutes into the second half as Jarman saw his initial shot saved by Dan Jezeph, but made no mistake on the rebound.

Tamworth responded as Knights’ 25-yarder fell narrowly wide, while Jarman tested Jezeph.

Knights fired inches wide before the visitors took the lead with seven minutes to go as substitute Wells headed home a Craig King cross.

Styche saw a late freekick saved by Ravas as the hosts slumped to a third straight defeat.

STAR MAN: Nathan Jarman (Gainsborough Trinity) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
