PROLIFIC Plymouth Parkway have made history after their storming start to the season.

The second-placed top-flight club recorded their 11th successive league win, a new league record in terms of a winning start, with a 3-1 success at leaders Plymouth Argyle in Friday’s keenly contested local derby.

The contest was watched by a season’s high attendance of 379 fans, who were treated to a high-quality clash with the visitors closing the gap on the Pilgrims to one point and still with three games in hand.

Tavistock climbed one place to third thanks to Lambs’ 6-2 slaughteri­ng of midtable Stoke Gabriel.

Launceston climbed to fifth with a 3-1 home win against lowly Camelford, a match which saw two red cards

Hosts Falmouth Town beat Torpoint Athletic 2-0, Exmouth Town triumphed by the same score at lowly Ivybridge Town and Cullompton Rangers surged from second-bottom position to 11th thanks to a 2-0 home win over pointless basement boys visitors Witheridge.

TYLER MARTIN smashed in the winner to earn Radcliffe Olympic a first win of the season at Ashby Ivanhoe, who had a player sent off.

Leaders Teversal extended the gap at the top thanks to a 3-1 defeat of Barrow Town.

Early strikes from Dave Cockerill and Matt Wilkinson set them on the way, with Josh Radford adding a third in the last minute before Kevin Davies’ stoppage time consolatio­n.

Holbrook Sports drop to fifth after a 2-1 home loss to Gedling Miners Welfare, who claimed the spoils with goals from Steven Brett and Jack Jepson.

Liam Orme salvaged a draw for second placed Blaby & Whetstone Athletic at Kimberley Miners Welfare, who led through a Tom Slade goal.

WOLVES SPORTING COMMUNITY saw their perfect record smashed as they crashed 3-2 to Tividale in the match of the day.

Freddie Watts and Tyrone Clarke fired Tividale into a 2-0 lead by half time before Wolves Sporting hit back.

Dimitri Dunkley pulled a goal back for the leaders before Clarke set up Dan Smith for a crucial third Tividale goal.

Mitch Clarke clawed a second goal back for Wolves Sporting deep into stoppage time but could not prevent his side's ten-atch winning run being brought to a halt.

Second-placed Cradley Town closed the gap, but left it late before pulling off a 4-3 win at Stone Old Alleynians.

Two goals from Danny Heard and a third from Dale Taylor cancelled out Cradley strikes from Lee Chilton and a Josh McKenzie brace before Croatian marksman Dreniz Bala bagged a dramatic late winner.

Ellesmere Rangers move to third place with a 6-2 mauling of Malvern Town. Matt Hardiman stole the show for Ellesmere, netting four, after Malvern had led 2-1 through goals from Matt Fusco and Adam Sauntson.
