FANTASY NON-LEAGUE

WIN $5,000

- By Ian White

THROUGH the FNL Helpdesk I have received a complaint. On the first FNL league table back on September 2 we had 1,494 players. Of course, the entry deadline had passed and today if you look at the FNL Main Table you will see that we have 1,503 players.

In years gone past we have normally picked up an extra two or three players after the deadline. The problem this season was to do with the online entry system.

Ninety-nine per cent of the entries went through with no problem at all but a small number didn’t. This was happening all the way through July and August. Then after the deadline I received a number of e-mails claiming they couldn’t find their teams.

After some investigation it became clear their online entries hadn’t reached mem so I asked them to send me their list of teams and I would enter them. Once I received them I checked their team choices and I can assure you all these teams were not picked after the deadline. So, that’s it for another week. In next week’s update we will take a look at who is in the running for the October Manager of the Month. Today’s update covers the period Sunday October 15 to Saturday October 21. The top three teams currently leading the October Manager of the Month are: 1. Jerry Hattrick FC 1,957pts (197th); 2. Golden-Greens 1,948pts (75th), 3. Leiston Athletic 1,944pts (248th). Bottom: Booby Briggers 538pts (1,483rd). The top five teams over the last seven days are: 1. Random Rovers 758pts (507th); 2. Nacho Cheese FC 746pts (80th), 3. Aldwick Angels 733pts (707th) 4. Grantham Invicta 733pts (89th), 5. Foxury 730pts (761st). Bottom: Roger The Bodger 135pts (1,458th). Top team over seven days is Chorley with 70pts.
