Storer seals it to sink Poole

- By Peter Leppington

GLOUCESTER CITY were emphatic winners at a Poole Town side still seeking a first home win this term.

The Tigers started the brighter with Jack Storer forcing home keeper Nick Hutchings into a series of saves in the first half hour.

Storer also set up Joe Parker, but he misfired when in on goal.

But it was the Dolphins that came closest in the first half when Shaun Devlin cleverly beat a player, then hit the bar with the rebound just eluding Warren Bentley.

Ollie Harfield also forced Tom Hadler in to a good save at the second attempt after his free-kick had hit the wall.

Gloucester took the lead on 54 minutes when Karnell Chambers fired an excellent shot from outside the box beyond the diving Hutchings.

The Tigers doubled their lead 12 minutes later when Storer’s cross was neatly tapped in by Parker.

Poole had to throw caution to the wind and came close when Will Spetch’s header brought an excellent save from Hadler.

But Gloucester broke and Storer had oceans of space to slam in a third goal that wrapped up a comprehensive victory with six minutes to go. STAR MAN: Jack Storer (Gloucester City) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
