Terrors go nap to hammer Harrow

- By Ian Bullock

TOOTING turned in a five-star display winning this pulsating game with Harrow also playing their part, despite finishing with nine men.

The Terrors opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Juevan Spencer crossed and Dan Clements headed home.

Spencer then went on a fine solo run and fired goalwards, but Boro’ keeper Melvin Minter denied him with a fine save.

On 35 minutes, it was 2-0, Mike Dixon smashing home after Spencer and Peter Wedgeworth set him up.

A minute later, Tooting added a third, Omar Folkes netting from close range.

Boro’ also went close with headers from Adam Richards and Ryan Moss, but United’s goalkeeper Matte Pierson tipped both efforts over.

Harrow dominated after the break.

And George Moore inspired a stirring comeback, firing in two long-range efforts, on 58 and 74 minutes to make it 3-2, with Kurtis Cumberbatch also hitting the bar.

However, Harrow’s comeback hopes were dashed when Cumberbatch was sent off on 80 minutes, after receiving a second yellow card. And two minutes later, Tooting supersub Danny Bassett made it 4-2 after a superb free-flowing move.

Harrow’s Curtis Ujah saw red as the visitors went down to nine with two minutes left.

And a minute later, Bassett made it 5-2 with a fierce low drive.
