BUXTON 3 FARSLEY CELTIC 3

- By Tony Tomlinson

ADAM PRIESTLEY’S 91st-minute equaliser gave Farsley a deserved share of the spoils from a Silverlands thriller.

Buxton started well down the slope and went ahead on four minutes, when Liam Hardy netted from close-range after a Brad Abbott corner was flicked-on at the near-post.

But Celtic equalised from the penalty spot through Ryan Watson on the quarter-hour.

Chances came and went at both ends as both teams, passing the ball attractively, attacked at will.

Buxton regained the lead in the 37th minute, also from the penalty spot after a handball decision; Hardy’s spot-kick finding the net off keeper Kyle Trenery’s arm.

Buxton’s loss through injury of Joe McGee and substitute Niall Doran helped the visitors gain control of the midfield.

And Farsley’s leading scorer James Walshaw made it 2-2 when he squeezed in a 70th-minute near-post effort after good work on the left by Isaac Baldwin.

Farsley looked the more likely winners, but Buxton regained the lead ten minutes later through Ant Wilson’s calm finish after good work by Abbott, Jake Williams and substitute Curtis Morrison.

Celtic poured forward and fashioned an added-time equaliser from close-range by substitute Priestley.
