IN-FORM Stockton Town were defeated by Whitley Bay in a seven-goal thriller, with the visitors coming away 5-2 winners.

The Anchors clawed their way back into the game at 2-2 before Kyle Patton, Callum Johnston and Josh Nearney wrapped up proceeding­s.

Leaders Morpeth Town put on a fine attacking display to defeat Billingham Synthonia 6-0, with Mark Davison netting a hat-trick for the Highwaymen.

Washington shared the spoils with Sunderland RCA, having lead through Vinny Gash’s goal before Colin Larkin equalised just after the hour.

Relegation battlers Jarrow Roofing caused the shock of the day by defeating third-placed Shildon 3-1, who had Jamie Harwood receiving his marching orders with ten minutes to play.

West Auckland defeated strugglers Penrith 2-1, who had defender Kyle May sent off, while Consett defeated Dunston UTS 4-1 as Arjun Purewal scored his first goal for the club.

North Shields hit Ryhope CW for six, coming from behind to win 6-2 with Ben Harmison and Lee Mason amongst the goals.

Team Northumbri­a came from behind to enjoy a 3-1 victory over Ashington, with Damien Stevens getting the opener for the Colliers, while Guisboroug­h drew 1-1 with Newton Aycliffe. MATTY HEWITT

NORTH WEST COUNTIES

BOOTLE stormed to a 10-0 victory over lowly AFC Darwen – the highlight on a day crammed with goals .

Ryan Cox and Andrew Gillespie both bagged hat-tricks for the Bucks with Connor Millington netting a late double including one from the penalty spot.

Leaders Runcorn Linnets were 3-1 winners at home to Congleton Town, but the big shock was at Padiham with title hopefuls Runcorn Town loing 4-0, Adam Freeland helping himself to a hat-trick for the home side.

Irlam climbed out of the drop zone thanks to their battling 2-1 victory over Burscough, Connor Martin popping up with the 90th minute winner.

Two goals from Scott McGowan helped 1874 Northwich to a 4-1 win at home to AFC Liverpool, while Charnock Richard edged out Ashton Athletic 1-0.

A late Ash Woods goal wrapped up a 3-2 win for West Didsbury & Chorlton at home to Winsford United, while it was the same scoreline as Squires Gate edged out Abbey Hey.

Widnes drew 1-1 at fellow high-fliers Hanley Town and it was the same scoreline between Barnoldswi­ck Town and Northwich Victoria.

Maine Road came from behind to draw 3-3 at Barnton, as David Brown scored the visitors’ late equaliser.

NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

JAKE DAY was the star turn in the Premier Division, scoring four goals as Bridlingto­n Town cruised to a 6-1 win against Hall Road Rangers.

Three of those goals came in a frenetic four-minute spell just before the interval as the Seasiders took control.

Andrew Norfolk and Rikki Paylor were also on target for Bridlingto­n after Dan Norton had opened the scoring.

Leaders AFC Mansfield were too good for Bottesford Town, winning 41, while second-place Handsworth Parramore won 3-0 at home to Parkgate with Jon Froggatt scoring twice.

Callum Ward netted twice in Garforth Town’s 4-0 win at basement boys Clipstone, while a late Billy Logan effort handed Pickering Town a 3-2 win against Pontefract Collieries.

Lincoln Adams converted a last minute penalty as Harrogate Railway Athletic won a seven-goal thriller at home to Thackley, while Barton Town held on for a 2-1 win at home to Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Rainworth Miners Welfare won 3-1 at Liversedge, Penistone Church beat Athersley Recreation 4-0, while Worksop Town struck late on through Lee Hill to draw 1-1 at Maltby Main.

Sumaili Cissa hit the winner in Albion Sports’ 3-2 defeat of Staveley Miners Welfare, for whom Adam Baskervill­e hit a brace of penalties.

UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE

TOM WAUMSLEY’S brace and one each from Matt Sparrow and Dan Cotton provided the day’s major upset as fifth-placed hosts Yaxley beat leaders Newport Pagnell Town 4-0.

If Yaxley win their three games in hand they will be just one point behind Newport Pagnell.

Another shock result came when basement side Oadby Town held promotion-chasing visitors Wisbech Town to a 1-1 draw. Alex Beck gave the Fenmen the lead, but Sam Burton levelled, for what was only Oadby’s tenth point in 24 games.

Goals from Jason Kilbride, Scott Coupland and Henry Dunn earned Deeping Rangers a 3-0 home win over Kirby Muxloe.

Andy Hall’s goal straight from a corner and a second from John Dean gave Desborough Town a 2-0 home win over Peterborou­gh Northern Star.

Daventry Town returned from Rothwell Corinthian­s with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Adam Creaney and Adam Moussi, with Callum Plowright’s penalty pulling one back.

Sleaford Town crashed 4-0 at home to Eynesbury Rovers, with Jordan Brown scoring twice and Craig Smith and Dom Lawless getting once each.

Luay Bashir and Sam Taylor were on target for St Andrews in their 2-1 win over Northampto­n Sileby Rangers.

Northampto­n ON Chenecks won 20 at Wellingbor­ough Whitworth thanks to a Brandon Williams double, while Boston Town drew 2-2 at home to Wellingbor­ough Town.

MIDLAND LEAGUE

BROMSGROVE SPORTING are the new leaders in the Premier Division following their 3-1 victory at Stourport Swifts.

With former frontrunne­rs Coleshill Town on FA Vase duty, the Rouslers took full advantage with two goals from Richard Gregory and a delightful Jason Cowley effort taking them top of the pile. Matt Fulloway replied for Swifts.

Sporting Khalsa put some recent poor form behind them to win 2-1 at Coventry United and climb to second.

Leon Miles and Craig Bannister scored the goals but keeper Sam Arnold was the star turn, pulling off a number of saves including a penalty.

A Sam Lockley hat-trick helped Rugby Town to a 6-1 win at home to South Normanton Athletic, while Nicky Turton also bagged a treble for AFC Wulfrunian­s, but this was only enough to hand his side a share of the spoils in a thrilling 5-5 draw at Shepshed Dynamo.

There were narrow 1-0 wins for Highgate United against Quorn, Heanor Town at Shawbury United, Worcester City over Lye Town and Boldmere St Michaels at Long Eaton United, while Coventry Sphinx edged out Loughborou­gh University 2-1 thanks to goals from Charlie Faulkner and Ryan Harkin.

Steve Hole struck both goals as Haughmond came from behind to see off Rocester 2-1 after a Jack Griffiths own goal had handed the Romans a fourth minute advantage.

ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE

ON A DAY when goals were flying in, Takeley lead the way with a 9-0 win over Burnham Ramblers.

Carl Mullins and Will Green both bagged hat-tricks, while Jason Todd hit two and Mitchell Das got the other.

Billy Johnson and Nathan Dewbury both scored hat-tricks for Great Wakering Rovers as they beat Tower Hamlets 6-1.

Basildon United thrashed bottom club Hackney Wick 7-0.

Marcus Bowers scored a pair of penalties, while Tom Marsh hit a late double. Jack Allington, Joe Burgess and Luke Hornsley were also on target.

Stansted were 5-1 winners at Clapton with former Ton favourite Ryan Ramsey getting the first goal and Julien Lloyd scoring the next two.

Both Hullbridge Sports and Southend Manor won 3-2 away from home, Sports at West Essex and Manor at Wadham Lodge.

FC Romania are now only one point behind leaders Redbridge, who had today off, after Adrian Balsanu and Florin Pop scored in their 2-1 victory over Waltham Forest.

Sawbridgew­orth Town were 2-0 winners at Enfield 1893, while Ilford won 2-1 at Sporting Bengal United.

EASTERN COUNTIES

MILES POWELL struck a last minute winner for leaders Felixstowe & Walton United as they secured a dramatic 2-1 home victory over Thetford Town.

Stowmarket Town are up to second, but still 19 points behind Felixstowe, after a crushing 7-1 home win against struggling Fakenham Town. Josh Mayhew netted twice.

George Clarke’s late penalty handed ten-man Brantham Athletic an impressive 2-1 success at third-placed Coggeshall Town, while Histon are up to fifth after Evan Key struck four times in a 5-2 win at Hadleigh United.

Bottom side Wivenhoe Town suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Haverhill Rovers, while Ipswich Wanderers also remain in the drop zone after a heavy 4-1 defeat at Stanway Rovers.

Joel Watts and Ross Gilfedder were both on target as Gorleston ran out 21 winners at home to Ely City, while Great Yarmouth Town triumphed 1-0 at home to Godmanches­ter Rovers.

FC Clacton lost 2-0 at Wroxham and Haverhill Borough are still just above the relegation places after losing 2-1 at home to Kirkley & Pakefield.

Walsham-le-Willows lost 1-0 at home to Long Melford and Saffron Walden Town ran out 3-2 winners at home to Newmarket Town.

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS

WELWYN GARDEN CITY are the new leaders at the top of the table after they beat Colney Heath 3-1.

Danny Payne opened the scoring for the Citizens with Ben Spaul and Ash Kersey also on target. Spencer ClarkeMard­el pulled one back for Heath, but it was too little too late.

The previous leaders Berkhamste­d lost for the first time this season, falling 1-0 at St Margaretsb­ury.

Matt Attard scored the game’s only goal as the Comrades’ title aspirated suffered a major setback.

Stotfold remain bottom after throwing away a two-goal lead as they lost 4-3 at London Colney.

Lawrence Vaughan proved to be the match winner for the hosts

Crawley Green drop into the bottom three after they lost 4-0 at Hoddesdon Town, for whom Connor Scully scored a first half hat-trick.

Cockfoster­s are out of the bottom three as they beat Harpenden Town 21. Kojo Gyimah was on target for the

hosts on his first start for the club.

Biggleswad­e FC were the day’s big winners as they beat Oxhey Jets 7-1 with Lee Northfield grabbing a hattrick, while Edgware Town beat Leverstock Green 3-1 with Dan Pett and Ryan Carruthers both on target.

COMBINED COUNTIES

MAGNIFICEN­T Max Blackmore’s brace kept leaders Westfield on course to lift the Premier Division title.

The Field beat Abbey Rangers 3-0 with Aaron Watson opening the scoring before Blackmore’s double.

Remarkably, this was The Field’s 20th win from 23 league games so far.

The result keeps them three points clear of closest challenger­s Bedfont Sports, who have played three matches more than their title rivals, and beat ten-man visitors Guildford City 4-2 in an entertaini­ng affair on their 3G pitch.

The hosts’ marksmen were Simo Mbonkwi, Scott Harris, captain Jamie Richards and Jacob Lambe, while Dan Stewart and returning Bobby Dormer scored for the visitors, whose centreback David Burton received a straight red card soon after half-time.

Walton & Hersham climbed into third thanks to their 2-0 success at Hanworth Villa, while Sutton Common Rovers fell to fourth after their 1-0 loss at CB Hounslow United.

Camberley Town in fifth drew 1-1 at Redhill, with Gavin Long giving the Lobsters an early lead before Jack Dean equalised for the visitors.

Horley Town drew 1-1 with Farnham Town, while Spelthorne Sports beat fourth-from-bottom visitors Banstead Athletic 1-0 through Jake Flatman’s winner.

Knaphill crashed 4-1 at North Greenford United, while Balham beat Chertsey Town 2-1.

Second-from-bottom Godalming Town succumbed 2-1 to bottom club visitors Epsom & Ewell, this being the Salts’ first away league win since April.

SOUTHERN COMBINATIO­N

EASTBOURNE TOWN are up to second in the table after running out comfortabl­e 5-0 winners at bottom side Littlehamp­ton Town.

Evan Archibald and Liam Baitup both netted twice for the visitors with Aaron Hopkinson also on the score sheet. The defeat for Littlehamp­ton sees them remain six points adrift of safety, while Eastbourne are now six points behind leaders Haywards Heath Town, who weren’t involved in league action at the weekend.

Chichester City are up to third after an impressive 4-0 victory at struggling Hassocks.

Josh Clack netted twice for the visitors with Korenzo Dolcetti and Scott Murfin also on target. The result means Hassocks remain two points from safety, while Chichester are level on points with second-placed Eastbourne Town but sit below in the table them due to an inferior goal difference.

Three Bridges are now up to sixth after they easily overcame Crawley Down Gatwick 4-0 at home.

Connor French, Ben Bacon, Jamie Crellin and Nathan Crabb were the goal scorers for the home side.

In the day’s other game, Worthing United are still just two points clear of the relegation places after suffering a 2-0 defeat at home to seventh-placed Saltdean United. Rob O’Toole scored both of the visitors’ goals.

SOUTHERN COUNTIES EAST

SEVENOAKS TOWN lost their 100 per cent home league record with a 2-2 draw against Canterbury City. First half goals by Rory Hill and Jason Thompson put Oaks ahead, but City hit back after the break. Dave Pilcher reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute before Jamie Maxted levelled 12 minutes from time.

Crowboroug­h Athletic slipped to a rare home defeat, 2-1 to Cray Valley.

Ryan Flack and a Kevin Lisbie penalty sent the visitors in 2-0 up at halftime, with Sam Carrington scoring the Crows’ consolatio­n from the spot.

All the goals came in the first 13 minutes at AFC Croydon with Emanuel Oloyede scoring twice for the hosts before Constantin­e Scarlat pulled a goal back for visitors Bearsted.

Second half goals from Bryan Zepo and Adrian Stone saw Glebe beat Sheppey United 2-0 at Foxbury.

Whitstable Town were also 2-0 winners at home to Croydon FC as they made up ground on the top three, their goals coming from Ricky Freeman and a Danny Williams penalty.

Jordan Gallacher and Jack Mahon scored for Lordswood as they beat Chatham Town 2-1, two own goals helped Tunbridge Wells win 3-1 at Corinthian, while Sam Wilson scored a late winner for Deal Town who beat Erith Town 2-1 after Andres Tobon had levelled for the visitors. PAUL CARTER

CRAIG HERROD’S goal in first half stoppage time was followed by Steve Murray’s lob two minutes after the break as Street extended their lead atop the table with a 2-0 win at home to Hallen.

Fletcher Williams and Luke Mortimore shared the goals in Willand Rovers’ 4-0 triumph over Cadbury Heath, while Chipping Sodbury Town overturned an early deficit to defeat Odd Down 3-1.

In the clash between last season’s promoted duo, goals in either half from Sam Towler helped Wellington claim a 2-1 win over Hengrove Athletic, with Lewis Dun scoring a late consolatio­n.

Cribbs were 2-1 winners, with Jake Slocombe and Charlie Aldom’s goals helping them see off Wells City, while Alex Grimshaw, Ryan Bole and Jake Brown were all on target as Melksham Town beat Buckland Athletic 3-0.

At the 23rd time of asking, Longwell Green Sports finally have a league win this season, after beating Brislingto­n 2-1. The Gloucester­shire side found themselves level at the break following Joe Woodley’s goal, before Ben Allen’s strike secured all three points.

Josh Egan and Tom Knighton got on the scoresheet for Bitton in their 2-0 win at Bridgwater Town, while Clevedon Town won by the same scoreline against Bridport, their goals from Lucas Vowles and Tyler Ashmead.

WESSEX LEAGUE

HAMBLE CLUB and Andover Town played out a highly entertaini­ng 2-2 draw on a chilly afternoon.

Ben Kneller’s Hamble Club started brightly and were in the ascendency early on as they raced into a two-goal lead. The hosts appeared to be firmly in control before Town got a foothold back in the game when ex-AFC Totton midfielder Mike Gosney reduced the deficit. The game was heading towards full time when former Petersfiel­d Town striker Jason Silver rescued a point for Glenn Burnett’s side.

Bemerton Heath Harlequins ran out 1-0 winners at Portland United.

Harlequins left the Grove with all three points following a solitary Andrew Lighfoot effort.

Sholing edged their clash against Bashley 1-0 at the Silverlake Arena.

After a goalless first half, the hosts eventually took control when Owen Royl scored for the Boatmen with 30 minutes remaining. Bashley pushed for an equaliser but were unable to find one and Sholing held on for the win.

Blackfield & Langley and Cowes Sports drew 2-2 at Gang Warily.

Liam Robinson put the hosts ahead but two goals for Sports turned the game on its head. The Islanders appeared to be heading for all three points before a late Clarke penalty salvaged a point for the Watersider­s.

SOUTH WEST PENINSULA

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE RESERVES upstaged local rivals and runaway leaders Plymouth Parkway for once in a severely depleted Premier Division programme.

The Pilgrims continue to make good progress in second position as they closed the gap on the table toppers back to 13 points on Friday.

Argyle were 4-1 winners at Helston Athletic, the visitors also pulling themselves five points clear of third-placed Saltash United, while hosts Helston Athletic remain in ninth.

Saturday’s scheduled fixtures between second-from-bottom Callington Town and rock-bottom Witheridge, Stoke Gabriel v Launceston, Ivybridge Town v fourthplac­ed Falmouth Town, Godolphin Atlantic v Tavistock and Plymouth Parkway v Saltash United were all postponed due to waterlogge­d pitches.

There was one other match on Friday as, at the third time of asking, Cornwall Senior Cup holders Bodmin Town won their third round tie against West Division club St Dennis 8-1.

EAST MIDLANDS

NINE-MAN West Bridgford chalked up an astonishin­g 3-2 win against high-flying Birstall.

Will Daley, Ross Haig and Tomi Jayiola got their goals but keeper Sam Clarke also saved two penalties, while Ant Willey and Will Heath saw red.

Daryll Thomas scored a 92nd minute penalty as Dunkirk defeated Kimberley 2-1, while Joe Meakin scored two free-kicks for Gedling but ended up on the losing side against Stapenhill with George Teeny scoring twice and Jamie Disney also on target.

Adam Dring and James Rushby got the goals for Belper in their 2-1 win at Radcliffe, while George Wesley and Angus Blair-Park netted in Ashby’s 2-0 win at Borrowash.

Connor Hardy and Corbi Brown were among the scorers in Clifton’s 5-2 defeat of Holbrook, while Simon Hore, Jacob Spence and Ryan Smith struck in Radford’s 3-0 victory over Arnold.

Anstey beat Selston 3-2, Aylestone won 5-1 against Graham Street Prims and Blaby triumphed 2-0 at Holwell.

WEST MIDLANDS REGIONAL

BLACK COUNTRY RANGERS continue to set the pace on top after pulling off a 3-0 win at Smethwick Rangers thanks to goals from Jamel Fuller, Lewis Archer and Shaquille Leachman-Whittingha­m with his 17th strike of the term.

Malvern Town remain right behind them after blitzing Bilston Town Community 5-1, Matt Turner taking his tally of goals to 21 after netting twice with Josh Hunt, Shaun Smith and Kyonn Evans also hitting the target.

Tyree Clarke’s brace kept Tividale in third spot after snatching a 2-1 win at third-from-bottom Pegasus Juniors, while Wolves Sporting Community stay well placed with games in hand over all their title rivals after obtaining a 2-0 win against Dudley Sports after Chad Degville-Cross and Kieron Northwood converted.

Shock of the day saw AFC Bridgnorth bag a surprise 4-1 win at Wolves Casuals. Highly-rated Myles Arnold netted twice with Karl Griffiths and Jason Omba also on target after Kevin Nickel had pulled one back.
