ALDERSHOT T v EASTLEIGH

-

GARY WADDOCK looks set to ring the changes when Aldershot Town take on Eastleigh.

The Shots laboured to a stalemate at a revived Solihull, who haven’t been beaten at home under boss Mark Yates since November, and will need to add some freshness to suit their fluid style on Monday.

Sitting ten points adrift of leaders Macclesfield, Waddock may now have to settle for a play-off spot but will still want to push for a top three finish which gives a bye into the second round of the knockout and that all important home advantage.

Waddock, who guided the Shots to promotion in 2008, said: “We are a fit squad and we can rotate the team with the personnel that we’ve got so we will be ready for Monday I’m sure. We need to pick up points at home and be strong at home.

“Jake Gallagher had an injury and was brave to play at Solihull so we’ll have to have a look at him. He came off early which was always in our mind to protect him.

“We’ve picked up a point away from home with a clean sheet, not the best of performances but we stood up to the challenge.

“It’s an important game. If we can put in a performance and get a result, Solihull will be a valuable point.”

On 49 points, Eastleigh haven’t secured survival yet but will be raring to go after their game with Ebbsfleet on Friday was postponed.
