- ROBIN JONES

TAYLOR OROSZ’S 36th-minute goal earned Daventry Town a 1-0 win at third-placed Eynesbury Rovers.

The result made it five victories out of five for Daventry, to keep them two points clear of Pinchbeck United at the top of the table.

Sam Preston’s brace, including an 81st-minute winner, saw Oadby Town return from Kirby Muxloe with a 3-2 win. Cal Finlow scored Oadby’s other.

Fazel Koriya gave Newport Pagnell Town the lead at Desborough Town, only for it to be cancelled out by Dan White before Liam Boath hit the winner for the home side.

Holbeach United came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against visitors Cogenhoe. Tom Iaciofano broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute and Ryan Dove increased Cogenhoe’s lead from the penalty spot on the hour as home defender Joe Braithwaite was sent off.

But Josh Ford pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute and new signing Declan Rogers levelled for Holbeach with an 80th-minute lob.

On Friday night, Northampton ON Chenecks saw off visitors Wellingborough Whitworth 4-0.

The result leaves Whitworth propping up the table with just one point from five games.
