DRAB DRAW DENIES DOLLIES

LANCASTER CITY 0 NORTH FERRIBY U 0

-

LANCASTER doubled their points tally when they had to settle for a draw against fellow strugglers North Ferriby in a game that only really got going in the second half.

Lancaster had the only real chances of a scrappy first half with Tom Kilifin just failing to get his head on a good cross and then Ben Hudson heading wide from By Andrew Satterthwaite a free kick on the half hour mark.

A long-range shot from Paul Dugdale curled just over the crossbar after 53 minutes as Lancaster began to apply some concerted pressure. Charlie Bailey twice came close to giving the home side the lead just past the hour mark.

Having survived the spell of pressure, North Ferriby came close themselves when Danny Norton broke free and fired a shot that hit the underside of the crossbar and was cleared.

Exall then palmed away a cross from McLean just as Matty Blinkhorn was looking to head home and then two minutes later Aiden Stone made a good save from James Williamson.

Lancaster wasted two good chances in the space of a minute late on as Richie Baker blasted a shot over the crossbar and then Blinkhorn shot tamely at Exall following a Dugdale cross.
