TWO second-half goals saw Seaham Red Star to their second successive away win in this season’s FA Vase.

Seaham dominated the opening period and striker Daniel Wilson had the ball in the net in the sixth minute but was flagged offside by an assistant.

Daisy Hill’s best chances in the first half arrived close to halftime when first Nick Hepple fired over from ten yards and then Jack Iley clipped the outside of the post with a fine 30-yard effort.

Within four minutes of the restart, Wilson went close for Seaham when his shot was deflected for a corner, but the big striker finally opened the scoring three minutes later when he smashed home a penalty, after Vincent Gash had been brought down in the box.

Gash doubled Seaham’s lead 17 minutes from time when he reacted to a long ball over the top and rounded the keeper to score.
