Six-shooters have Casuals in a flutter

- By Malcolm Parker

BILLY Bricknell notched twice as Enfield Town hit Corinthian Causals for six.

The first chance of the game fell to the visitors on the quarter-hour when Bilal Sayoud’s cross found Bricknell, who nodded over.

On 26 minutes, Enfield were ahead when Sayoud attached onto a loose ball on the edge of the area and smashed into the top corner.

Town defender Dan Rumens first missed an easy header from a corner and then, in the 43rd minute, made amends as he nodded home another.

The visitors got more and more in control and Ryan Blackman forced Casuals keeper Brad Comins into a close-range save.

On 57 minutes, Corinthian were appealing for a penalty when the ball broke to the other end, where Sam Youngs got to the byline for Bricknell to side-foot home from 10 yards out.

Casuals finally got a break as Gabriel Odunaike beat the offside trap and slotted home past the keeper in the 62nd minute.

Five minutes later, Youngs picked up a loose ball and thundered a low 25-yarder into the bottom corner.

In the 70th minute, Youngs was brought down in the box and Bricknell fired home the spot kick.

Three minutes later, Enfield had their sixth through Sam Chaney.
