- By Chris Fowle

WORTHING 1 LEATHERHEAD 1

CALLUM Kealy netted one minute from time as Worthing drew with Leatherhead to move three points behind league leaders Tonbridge Angels.

Travis Gregory scored for the visitors after 35 minutes and the Tanners looked set for their third win of the season but Kealy’s late effort ensured the spoils were shared.

Both sides ended the dramatic contest with 10 men as Thomas Cooney and Will Miles were sent off in the final five minutes of the contest.

Isaac Newton went close early on for the home side but his shot just went over the bar on 19 minutes.

Leatherhead then had a penalty in the 35 minutes as Elliot Benyon’s tame effort was saved by Lucas Cavagnari straight into the path of Gregory who fired home.

Worthing pressed hard for an equaliser with Zaki Oualah producing a string of saves as they looked to hold onto their advantage.

Worthing’s challenge was made hard four minutes from time when Miles picked up a second yellow card but the home side dug deep and Kealy popped up with the equaliser.

The substitute fired his shot into the ground and over Oualah into the net for the leveller.

Cooney was then sent off for Leatherhead in added time. STAR MAN: Travis Gregory (L’hd) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
