SHEEHAN LEAVES IT LATE

- By Neil Speight

EAST THURROCK UNITED 2 HUNGERFORD TOWN 1

A DRAMATIC finale saw East Thurrock snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Former Rock Danilo Orsei-Dadomo struck a dagger into his former employers’ hearts with a goal from close range.

The second half was insipid with neither side threatening. Sub Roman Michael-Percil forced a near post save from Jacob Weaver but it looked as if it wasn’t going to be their day, especially when Sam Higgins took an airshot rather than force the ball home from two yards.

The game turned when Hungerford’s Charlie Ten-Grotenhuis picked up two silly bookings.

Rocks grabbed a 90th minute equaliser when Michael-Percil drilled the ball home and then Steve Sheehan showed great composure in the third added minute when he curled the ball home.
