COUGHLIN TO THE RESCUE

DEBUTANT goalkeeper Andrew Coughlin produced a string of fine saves to earn Bay a point.

The first half burst into life just before the interval when Trafford striker Aaron Burns was denied by a great lastditch tackle by Will Bell and Coughlin saved brilliantly to thwart Jimmy Moore.

Coughlin pushed a low drive by Burns past the upright in the 58th minute and an amazing goalmouth scramble saw Burns, Mark Derbyshire and Liam Ellis all seeing their close-range efforts blocked.

Trafford threw everything forward in search of the winner but the spirited Bay side could have snatch all three points two minutes into injury time when Lassana Mendes saw his shot from just eight yards saved by Matt Cooper.
