SEVENTH HEAVEN FOR STONES

- By Mark Murphy

KINGSTONIAN emphatically hit their stride to put seven goals past a hapless Harlow Town.

David Fitzpatrick scored the first of the seven on seven minutes, applying a composed finish after outstanding debutant Alfie Doughty picked him out in the penalty box from the lefthand side.

Three minutes later, Louie Theophanous sidefooted Aaron Lamont’s right-wing cross home from close range.

And Theophanous created his own second goal, Ks’ third on 27 minutes, cutting inside a defender and drilling his rightfoot shot low past Josh Bexon’s right hand.

Bexon’s left elbow somehow applied the finishing touch for Ks fourth goal, as he tried to deal with Fitzpatrick’s 37th-minute shot.

On 50 minutes, Doughty headed home Fitzpatrick’s floated cross from the right with the struggling Bexon rooted to his line.

It was 6-0 on 65 minutes, Doughty raced on to a Manolis Gogonas through-ball and sidefooted home.

Elliott Buchanan then lashed home a left-foot drive to complete a fine afternoon’s work.
