Ferriby are forced to battle back twice

- By Tony Tomlinson

FERRIBY twice recovered to equalise in the second half but couldn’t find a winner.

The home side started well, dominating possession, and scored a great early goal.

In the 17th minute, striker Tolani Omotola squeezed an effort past keeper Lewis Exall after he had latched onto a Liam Hardy shot.

The home side continued to create half-chances, with Jude Oyibo seeing Exall beat out a firm, swerving shot.

The ‘Villagers’ threatened occasionally, but Jordan Harrison fired over.

Ferriby equalised on the hour mark through ex-Silverlander Luke Hinsley at close range.

Stung into action, Hardy for the Bucks made a great run up the left, but Josh Meade somehow fired over the bar.

Nevertheless the Bucks led again six minutes later with Hardy’s penalty kick, awarded for a foul from behind on Oyibo.

However, the visitors hit back again to equalise within two minutes.

A corner on the left gave midfielder Luke Lofts the opportunity to drill home hard and low from 18 yards.
