THREE OFF AS RED MIST FALLS

- By Mike Draxler

A GAME that started with promise escalated into a bad-tempered affair with three players sent off before half-time.

The second 45 made it a very nervy affair with the officials taking a nononsense approach.

A diving header from Joe White put the Waders ahead and Jonny McNamara made it 2-0 when hs first effort hit the post but the ball rebounded off his thigh.

Tempers flared as Lucas Perry saw red, followed closely by Kyle Bryant and Brett Donnely, a designated substitute.

Out for the second 45, the players looked a bit shell-shocked but there was better football.

With 21 minutes remaining, Coalville’s Andrew Wright was carried from the pitch with a serious injury.

This seemed to further inhibit the players.

Coalville enjoyed a good spell and the Waders’ defence looked desperate on occasions to keep a clean sheet.

The final goal came from Joe White after another dazzling run from Matt Ball.

A final score of 3-0 didn’t flatter them, however, as they produced the more fluent football.
