Andre’s on time to seal it for Hillians

- By Charlotte Richardson

BURGESS Hill Town fought back from two goals down to secure a fantastic victory against Margate at Hartsdown Park.

Making his first start for the Gate, Alex Flisher scored the game’s opener for the hosts.

George Brown was fouled right on the left hand edge of Hill's box and Flisher produced a moment of quality to push Margate ahead.

Margate doubled their lead through a rather controversial throw-in delivery that got the most devilish of touches to hit the back of the net and went down as a Josh James own goal.

The visitors fought back strongly and halved the deficit just after the half-hour mark when Pat Harding smashed a rebounded shot beyond Henry Newcombe.

Hill drew level from a set-piece just after the hour mark with Tom Cadman striking the ball superbly into the top-right hand corner of the net.

Frannie Collin came close for the Gate with a powerful free-kick but it was Burgess Hill who were to have the last say on the five-goal thriller with only two minutes left of normal time.

Capitalising on a poor clearance, Andre McCollin sent the travelling supporters into hysteria smashing the ball home to secure three valuable points and seal a dramatic encounter. STAR MAN: Gary Charman (Burgess Hill) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
