MIGHTY AT THE Two-goal Hagan just

KNARESBORO­UGH Town came from behind to win 3-2 over fellow promotion hopefuls Hemsworth Miners Welfare to keep up the pressure on the top two in the Northern Counties East Premier Division.

Nash Connolly opened the scoring on five minutes for Hemsworth but Joshua Garbutt levelled proceeding­s just three minutes into the second half, only to see Connolly strike again.

However, a Ben Cohen brace, with the winner coming eight minutes from time, secured the victory.

With the top two sides having their matches postponed Town moved seven points behind leaders Yorkshire Amateur.

Daniel Williams scored the winner as Garforth Town beat fellow mid-table side Albion Sports 3-2.

Sports had the lead through Alhassane Keita but Mark Simpson levelled before the break and Mitchell Hamilton then gave Town the lead.

However, Chris Fairhurst brought Sports level on 72 minutes and Williams struck the winner soon after.

Edward Rogerson scored a secondhalf brace as Barton Town ran away with a convincing 3-0 victory over Hall Road Rangers with Matthew Plummer netting the other.

In the only other game played, Joshua Wright’s goal made the difference as Athersely Recreation ran out 1-0 winners over Goole AFC.
