Magpies hold on for long-awaited victory

- By Terry Spraklen

DORCHESTER conceded two goals but survived strong late pressure from Harrow to record their first home league win since September.

The Magpies created a good number of early chances and Ben Seymour tapped in to put them in front on 17 minutes.

Luke Winsper’s pass picked out Antonia Diaz who sidefooted past keeper Hafed Al-Droubi for Seymour to finish off.

Harrow’s first chance fell to Ryan Moss, who could not find the power he needed to trouble goalkeeper Kingsley Latham as he ran on to a long through ball.

The Magpies doubled their lead straight after the break when Seymour played in Kyle Egan, whose centre was only partially cleared enabling Winsper to drive home.

A Brennan Camp effort was then cleared off the Harrow line by George Moore but only to Harry Kite, who was bundled over. Seymour made no mistake with the spot-kick.

Moore had a shot saved by Latham using his legs while Moss missed a far-post chance from a driven centre by Lewis Cole.

Cole then fired over before Harrow scored when a Moss effort rebounded for Anthony O’Connor to pounce.

Latham was forced to dive to his left to keep out a fierce Gough free-kick but the loose ball was seized by O’Connor, who scored again at the second attempt. STAR MAN: Ben Seymour (Dorchester) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
