SECOND-PLACED Stourbridge closed the gap on league leaders Kettering with a comprehensive victory over Redditch.

Stourbridge took the lead after 20 minutes when Aaron Forde produced a precision header to convert a Greg Mills cross.

Reds hit back within three minutes when Robbie Bunn bundled home from a Jack Storer cross.

Stourbridge restored the lead on 26 minutes. The goal resulted from a spell of pinball from a Mills corner which saw Stourbridge striker Kaiman Anderson have two attempts on goal blocked before Paul McCone powered home.

Stourbridge took control after half-time and made it 3-1 on 55 minutes when Reds failed to clear from a Mills free-kick which saw the ball rebound off Stourbridge full back Jordaan Brown and land perfectly for McCone to crack home.

Impressive Stourbridge effectively sealed victory on the hour with a goal of the highest quality.

Forde spotted Adam Whitehouse off his line and skillfully lobbed the ball home from fully 25 yards out into the top corner of the net.
