- By Jacob Newbury

SCOTT Dundas has parted company with Chasetown after the club were defeated 3-1 at Worksop Town.

Worksop, who went into Saturday’s game on the back of three successive defeats, took the lead after 11 minutes through Lynton Karkach, who was on hand to convert Steve McDonnell’s deflected shot.

Chasetown equalised on 19 minutes, after George Cater shrugged Deegan Atherton off before slipping the ball under the dive of David Reay.

But less than a minute later, McDonnell restored the hosts’ lead, running onto Freddy Tracey’s flickon in order to smash past Curtis Pond.

The game could have gone either way but, with three minutes remaining, Worksop sealed all three points win as Max Pemberton’s excellent ball through fell to McDonnell, who calmly stroked the ball past the keeper.

Elsewhere,

Sutton Coldfield Town registered a 3-1 victory over mid-table rivals

Ilkeston

to move up into 12th.

Headers from Isai Marsellia and James Beresford provided the hosts with a 2-0 lead before Ilkeston’s Jose Maguire pulled one back by heading in to reduce the lead.

Sutton restored their two-goal advantage through Reece Gibson’s lob over the advancing keeper, and with Alex Marshall missing from the penalty spot late on, the score remained 3-1.

Scott Ruthven’s 54th-minute goal sealed a 1-0 win for Stocksbridge Park Steels at Market Drayton Town.

In the North West division, the points were shared between Dunston and Mossley in a 1-1 draw.

A 300-plus crowd saw Ben Halfacre give the Lilywhites the lead on 13 minutes, after his free-kick skimmed underneath the wall and into the bottom corner. The away side continued to carve out the bulk of the chances in the first half but were unable to extend their lead before the break.

Craig Scott drew the hosts level in the 79th minute after powerfully heading home a corner.

Despite a late flurry of chances for the away side, the score remained level.

City of Liverpool

defeated 10-man Kendal

Town 1-0 in a lively affair. Despite both sides sharing chances in the first half, it was in the second period when the game kicked into action.

After Kendal’s Kieran Maguire saw red for a second bookable offence, it was the resulting free-kick which saw the game’s only goal.

Kevin McEllin’s inswinging free-kick found the bottom right corner, which proved to be the difference for the visitors, who registered their second straight win.

Runcorn Linnets came from a goal behind at half-time to beat bottom-of-the-table

Pickering 2-1 at Millbank Linnets Stadium.

Danny Earl’s early effort put the Pikes into a 1-0 lead but the visitors were unable to extend their lead despite a number of giltedged opportunities.

An improved Runcorn made their opponents rue those chances as the impressive Ally Brown helped the hosts take control of the game in the second half.

Brown’s accurate low cross from the right wing provided Liam Caddick a chance for the Linnets to equalise, which he obliged, before doing the producing with a near-identical cross moments later, this time for Ben Wharton, to put his side ahead.

Elsewhere, Eddie Church’s second-half goal gave Brighouse Town a morale-boosting 1-0 win at

Pontefract Town to move them up into 11th place.
