WE NEED YOU!
Crisis-hit clubs in desperate plea for cash lifeline
To the British Government and the Premier League
NON-LEAGUE needs you. The game at this level is staring into the abyss. Without your intervention, clubs will cease to exist. This is your time to ride to the rescue to save community assets from going to the wall. We’re not asking for vast sums, but your assistance in this hour of need. Just a fraction of your money will go a long way and make a huge difference. All football has been suspended indefinitely and, with it, the oxygen this level of the game needs to survive has been cut off. While much of the top end of football has time to reflect, our clubs are in immediate danger and their very existence is under threat. Non-League has been the starting ground for a number of successful players. Jamie Vardy won the Premier League just six years after he was playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels. Chris Smalling is an FA Cup winner having started at Maidstone United, Tyrone Mings learnt his craft at Yate Town and Chippenham Town, while Nick Pope was nurtured at Bury Town. All four are recent England internationals. In today’s NLP, clubs, players and managers from up and down the land are appealing for your help to keep the heart of the game in this country beating. Like you, Non-League football will play a big role in getting society as a whole back on its feet. Please don’t underestimate the value of our clubs to our communities. Do what is right for the beautiful game. Please don’t forget us.
