ALL’S WELL THAT OSWELL FOR COWAN

-

AFC TELFORD United boss Gavin Cowan says he has finally got his man in Jason Oswell, writes STANLEY LEECH.

The 27-year-old striker joins the Bucks on a two-year deal after leaving National League side Wrexham.

Oswell hit 20 goals in 37 games for Welsh side Newtown to land a move to Stockport County in 2017.

He later joined Morecambe before signing for Wrexham last January. With his contract now up, Cowan has swooped.

“I’ve been trying to get Jason into the club since his Newtown days and I’m happy to say we have finally got our man,” Cowan said. “He is a proven striker at this level and one who I know can live up to the expectations of our club.”

Oswell added: “I am delighted to have signed and I can’t wait to get started.

“With so long without football I am raring to go. I feel this is an exciting time for the club and I am looking forward to playing a big role.”
