EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE WORM FOR Ks

-

KINGSTONIAN boss Hayden Bird has been rewarded for his patience after landing two long-term targets.

The Ks chief announced via a Zoom chat this week that he has landed forward pair Kadell Daniel and Corie Andrews with two more players expected to be unveiled at the end of the month.

Pacey winger Daniel, 26, has turned out for the likes of Charlton Athletic, Leatherhead, Dulwich Hamlet, Welling United, Woking, Dover Athletic and Torquay United.

The 26-year-old former Crystal Palace graduate, also has 11 full caps for Guyana and joins from Isthmian Premier rivals Margate.

He is joined by target man Andrews, who has completed an impressive return to football following a short break from the game.

Andrews, 23, signed a three-year pro contract with Crystal Palace aged just 17.

Bird said: “I’m delighted with our new additions.

“Kadell is an outstanding player who has been a long term target. Corie is a player with great potential, who came to our attention during the summer. He will be a very interesting addition.

“I hope we will be in a position to confirm two more players this week. It’s just a case of finalising the paperwork. Although the remaining two players have agreed terms and signed, we are unable to make an official announcement without permission of the club we are signing them from.”
