BILLERICAY TOWN’S FORMER BRIGHTON, WHITEHAWK AND HEMEL HEMPSTEAD STRIKER PIECES TOGETHER A BEST EVER XI OF PLAYERS HE HAS PLAYED ALONGSIDE…

GK. ALAN JULIAN

He’s the most consistent and dedicated keeper I’ve played with. He’s in fantastic shape and is always the fittest in training. He takes every goal conceded personally so he’s a good character to have in the side. I’ve grown close with him during the last few years.

RB. NICK ARNOLD

He got up and down the slope at Whitehawk better than anyone I’ve seen. He assisted a lot of goals for me over the years there and he was fantastic at getting crosses in. If he hadn’t got injured, I reckon he would have gone up a few leagues.

CB. RONNIE HENRY

He’s had a fantastic career and he will be a great manager one day. Organises well and puts his body on the line, he will do anything for a clean sheet. As a captain he was exactly what we needed last season.

CB. TOM CADMORE

I played with Tom at Whitehawk. The most technically gifted centre-half I’ve played with, he could hit a ball 70 yards on a sixpence. He was a classy player and definitely should have gone on and played a lot higher than he did.

LB. PAUL KONCHESKY

The fittest player I have ever played with, would run all day if he had to. He brought so much experience and an absolute wand of a left foot. A fantastic career, he made people sit up and take notice of Billericay when he joined – and he even scored in an FA Cup final as well.

HM: SERGIO TORRES

A really lovely guy and just a brilliant midfielder. Tenacious, strong, with a great passing range and didn’t have to chip in with the goals. You could rely on him to find the right ball every week. It’s becoming a more fashionable position and he was seriously good at it.

CM. JAMIE O’HARA

I can’t leave him out – especially now he’s the manager! Every time he trains, he’s the best player on the pitch. His technical ability is absolutely amazing – even now and with the career he has had, he’s a massive influence on me. We signed for Billericay on the same day, he was crowded by reporters and I was in the corner not knowing what was going on!

CM. RICKY MODESTE

He’s supplied a lot of my goals over the past few years. He played full-back, winger, centre-back and all he wants to do is get the ball. He delivered quality cross after quality cross and was ideal to have in a team when all you want to do is score.

AM. SAM DEERING

He is someone I’ve played with a few times and he has assisted more of my goals than anybody else. An absolute magician in midfield, he’s so naturally gifted at making something out of nothing. I’d love to play with him again someday, was a joy to be on the same pitch.

ST. DANNY MILLS

My strike partner for three years at Whitehawk. We scored 50 goals between us each season and went through a lot together. He’s a lot taller than me so there was a fantastic balance between us and we fed off each other. It was nice to have someone do the physical side of the game for you.

ST: BILLY BRICKNELL

Just loves scoring goals. We shared the passion for sticking the ball in the net and there was a good partnership between us with the understanding we had. Born with the mentality of hunting a goal because he lived off the joy of them. SUBS: Dean Cox, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Glenn Murray, Joe Kizzi, Moses Emmanuel
