LIAM PRYNN’S double helped edge

Tavistock closer to the title with a 4-0 victory at Bitton.

Warren Daw’s stunning 25-yard strike and Dan Evans’ finish completed the second-half rout from the Lambs to stretch their lead to five points at the top. Mousehole’s hopes of chasing them down suffered a setback as they surrendered a two-goal lead through Callam Mconie’s brace to draw 2-2 at Wellington.

Levi Landricombe’s winner 15 minutes from time kept alive Exmouth Town’s title hopes as they edged out Bridgwater United 1-0 to move above Mousehole into second.

First-half goals from Josh Williams and Joe Morgan set Shepton Mallet on their way to an impressive 3-1 victory at

Saltash United to move into fifth.

Matt Huxley struck a brace with Mohammed Jeng also finding the target for Cadbury Heath as they inflicted a 3-1 defeat on bottom side Bridport.

There was better news for second-from-bottom Ashton and Backwell United as they picked up a 4-1 victory at

Millbrook, Henry Sady, Charlie Saunders and Conor Hartley among the scorers. And Ethan Feltham scored one and created goals for Mitch Osmond and Alex Camm as Clevedon Town came from behind to beat Brislington by the same scoreline.

Elsewhere, Buckland Athletic swept aside Street 4-1 and Helston Athletic drew 0-0 with Ilfracombe Town.

TIM CLARKE SOUTH WEST PENINSULA PREMIER WEST leaders Falmouth Town have all but bagged the championship following their 4-0 home win over basement side St Dennis.

James Ward, Tim Nixon, David Broglino and Jack Bray-Evans netted, while thirdplaced Liskeard Town, the only side who could mathematically overtake them, drew 1-1 at Wadebridge Town.

Falmouth are now 20 points clear at the top with a superior goal difference and could win the title if they take at least a point at Penryn Athletic on Good Friday.

In Premier East, Torpoint Athletic are top following a 2-0 home win over Sidmouth Town while Okehampton Argyle, who led the table for 193 days until midweek results went against them, won 3-0 at Elburton Villa but are two points behind having played one game more.
