The Non-League Football Paper

Back bigger and better than ever!

- By Jon Couch

TIME flies when you’re having fun, as they say – and the real fun starts right here as The National Game Awards returns to signal the business end of another spell-binding Non-League season.

With plenty still to play for, this year’s NGAs are very much up for grabs, so why not get your votes in early to give your team, star man, top fan or most valued volunteer the best chance of being honoured in Non-League football’s most prized ceremony.

Today, we can exclusively reveal that The NGAs will once again by held at AFC Wimbledon’s plush Plough Lane Stadium on Tuesday May 23.

We can also announce that Isuzu UK have agreed to become the new title sponsors this year, adding The NGAs to their current sponsorship of the FA Vase and FA Trophy.

Isuzu UK have become a driving force behind grassroots football with several of their dealerships from all over the country having become actively involved in their local clubs.

We are hugely grateful for their support and we’re working closely with Isuzu UK for our much-loved Unsung Hero Award.

One of the telling things about The NGAs is the regular and relentless backing it receives – without this, we simply couldn’t honour the great and good of the NonLeague game.

Our Game Football will honour our Player of the Year and Community Club of the Year gongs and then there’s our Step 3-4 Player of the Year award for the top performer from the Northern Preelling mier, Southern and Isthmian Leagues.

Huck Nets have once again put their name to the Goal of the Season accolade, while Reusch are also back — they couldn’t wait to once again get their hands on the sponsorship for this season’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Sports Ground Development are on board for the first to present the Manager of the Year award, while the Acerbis Team of the Year will once again be hotly contested with so many top performances this season.

Our friends at Sportsbeat are on board again – they didn’t need asking twice to support the Young Player of the Year.

We love the William Hill

Fan of the Year category – and again we need your help with this one – while SK Kits honour Non-League’s top goal getter with the Golden Boot.

The NLP Lifetime Achievement award is one of our personal favourites, while The Football Supporters’ Association Away Day Experience of the year recognises the efforts clubs make to cater for travtime

fans. The FA are also on board to acknowledge the winner of the Cup Run of the Year, judged on the FA Cup, Trophy and Vase.

Keep an eye on The NLP over the coming weeks as we bring you award-by-award guides as well as all the information you need to ensure the decanters end up in the right hands!
