HELLENIC LEAGUE

MALVERN Town top the Premier Division following their 3-0 home win over Hereford Pegasus.

On target were Lewis Spurrier, Ben Hayes and Dave Reynolds 61 in front of a crowd of 275.

Second-placed Cribbs who have two games in hand, won 4-1 at Bradford Town thanks to two goals from Ross McErlain including a spot kick conversion and one each by Jacob Hodgson and David Duru.

Goals by Joe Shutt and Fin Jenner gave Fairford Town a 2-0 home win over Wendfields. Josh Mason scored the only goal of the game as Longlevens AFC won at Hereford Lads Club.

Royal Wootton Bassett saw off visitors Chipping Sodbury Town 4-1 with Louis Spalding, Bailey Gallagher, Matt Jones and Flyn Waters finding the back of the net.

A Neikell Plummer hat-trick and goals by Simpson Kane and Callum Demkiv gave Corsham Town a 5-0 win at Shrivenham.

Oli Jenkins and Jaydn Crosbie neted for Mangotsfie­ld United in their 2-0 win at Wantage Town. A double by Louis Ward saw Roman Glass St George win 2-1 at Thornbury Town.

In Division One, leaders Pershore Town beat visitors Malmesbury Victoria 3-1 with Danny Murphy, Mark Magee and Petar Tonchev netting.

A hat-trick by Louis Joyce and a goal from Harry Thomas saw Milton United see off Shortwood United 4-0.

Goals from Declan Sheppard, Karl Dickinson and Louis McDonald gave Clanfield 85 a 3-0 win at Littleton.

Jake Collins and Matt Reed scored for FC Stratford in their 2-0 win at

Moreton Rangers.

The league is to stage an 11-match groundhop over the Easter weekend.

The event kicks off on Good Friday at noon when Feckenham host Shipston Excelsior, before moving to Worcester Raiders’ for a game against Corsham Town, kick-off 3.30pm.

The Saturday focuses on: Mortimer v Chinnor (11am); Taplow United v Chalfont Wasps (2.15pm) and Woodcote v FC Beaconsfie­ld (5.30pm).

Easter Sunday: Watlington Town v Newbury (11am), Abingdon United v Shortwood United (2.30pm) and Clanfield 85 v Malmesbury Victoria (5.45pm). Easter Monday: Shipston Excelsior will host Feckenham at 11am followed by Southam United v Littleton (2.30pm) and Hartpury University v Cheltenham Saracens (7pm).

COMBINED COUNTIES Farnham Town

IN-FORM delivered a serious dent to the promotion hopes of Jersey Bulls when a goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time by recent signing Shamal Edwards gave them a shock 2-1 away Premier South victory at Springfiel­d Stadium.

Flying in with a record of four wins in a row following Tuesday night’s 3-0 victory over Ashford Town in the Southern Combinatio­n Cup, Farnham took the lead in the 58th minute through a tap-in by Lamin Seesay.

Third-placed Bulls, who were lacking suspended top marksman Lorne Bickley following his sending off in the recent draw at Horley Town, levelled after 78 minutes when Jonny Le Quesne got the final touch in a crowded goalmouth.

Despite Jersey being boosted by their midweek 4-2 success at Balham, in which Francis Lekimamati hit a hattrick and Fraser Barlow one goal, the Bulls’ 100th of the season, the visitors converted the chances that they created.

On a day when the programme on the mainland was decimated by rain, Camberley Town ran up the highest score of the day when they smashed eight goals without replay at Frimley Green. In Premier North, London Lions went three goals down at second-from-bottom Windsor but hit back to win 5-4. There were two goals for Austin Lipman and one each by Jack Mattey, Jake Furman and Nick Landsberg, son of boss Andrew Landsberg.

Edgware & Kingsbury went behind to Reading City when Josh Baines converted a 37th-minute spot kick.The hosts equalised through Emerson Dju before substitute Michael Dapaah netted their winner with seven minutes left.

Goals by Tag Rowe and Revel Erastus-Obilo earned hosts Wembley a 2-1 win over Chalfont St Peter while Wallingfor­d & Crowmarsh beat visitors Harefield United 2-1 thanks to a strike from substitute Luke Hayward and an own goal.

The Colliers now sit level on points with leaders Newton Aycliffe, whose home clash with West Allotment Celtic was postponed due to wet conditions – as was the game at Newcastle Benfield.

Elsewhere, ten-man Whickham won 4-1 at home against relegation-threatened

Pickering Town.

Following Kaleb Turner’s red card, Dan Turner and Shay Richardson put the Lang Jacks two ahead.

Richardson’s own goal halved the lead, but he then struck the third before Tom Romano’s debut effort completed the scoring.

Substitute Cieran Jackson scored with his first touch to give West Auckland a 1-0 victory at Penrith.

A Luke Brooksbank double gave Silsden AFC a 2-0 lead at Eccleshill United but Devonte Newman-Morton and Luke Sidaway secured a draw.

Kieren Watson and Brandon Bradbury earned Hallam a 2-1 home win against

Hemsworth Miners Welfare. Reece Kral replied with Hemsworth keeper Ally Hughes sent off in the first half, striker Andrew Horbury replacing him.

Ewan Gregson, George Thewlis, Benjamin Parkes, Cole Wildin and Dominic Creamer scored as Knaresboro­ugh Town routed visiting Handsworth 5-0.

MIDLAND LEAGUE Darlaston Town (1874) Racing Club Warwick

WINS for and saw them close the gap on league leaders Walsall Wood whose match at Wolves Casuals was postponed due to a waterlogge­d pitch.

Goals from Kieron Miller and Lewis Gill steered Darlo to a 2-0 victory over Studley while Warwick were convincing 4-1 winners over visitors Worcester City, their goals coming from Callum Rudd, Kory Burke, Archie Hemp and Connor Mort. Kyonn Evans scored City’s consolatio­n.

Stourport Swifts leap-frogged Shifnal Town to go fifth thanks to their impressive 3-1 defeat of fourth-placed Lye Town.

Ben Tilbury curled in a 12th minute opener only for Josh Hesson to level before half-time before Swifts cut loose in the second half with further goals from Aaron Birch and Jack Watts.

Atherstone Town scored two penalties in their 3-1 victory at home to AFC Wulfrunian­s, Ryan Quinn and Lewis Noon netting from the spot. Kevin Hemagou was also on target for the Adders with Jamie Meddows responding for Wulfs.

It was the same scoreline at Bewdley Town where Whitchurch Alport took the points thanks to goals from Jordan Evans, Dan Skelton and Ollie Pope while Joe Baxter’s goal steered Stone Old Alleynians to a 1-0 win at Highgate United.

Goals from Umar Zaman and Dylan Hadley helped Romulus to a 2-1 win at home to Shifnal Town with Dan Churm’s double giving Market Drayton Town victory over Uttoxeter Town by the same scoreline.

Tividale beat Lichfield City 2-0 through Arman Khoshkhoo and Harry Lewis.
