Grant boost for two charities
GRANTS totalling £6,000 have been awarded to two West Highland charities.
Ross of Mull and Iona community transport scheme and Counselling Care: Skye and Lochalsh have received £3,000 each from the Lloyds TSB Hendry Duncan awards programme.
The money will be used for staff salaries.
Ian Blackford, MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber, welcomed the funding: ‘Many of the Henry Duncan grants go on staff and running costs like this, meaning they are a lifeline for local charities in this tough financial climate.’
