Power and time are of the essence

Sir, I am glad Mrs Metcalfe has the grace to realise some of her scary scenarios are not proven.

She may question the veracity of some reports but others may wish for proof of her assertions.

Some tactics are unacceptable when a country’s power supply is at stake. Personally I would prefer to look out on elegant wind turbines turning lazily in the wind rather than having power cuts with factories on short time and families struggling.

I note Mrs Metcalfe is not a NIMBY (Not in My Back Yard). What is her solution, bearing in mind the development time required to make any new technology viable? Power and time are of the essence.
