Caring dedication and skill of surgeon

Sir, I read with great sadness that Donald John Scobie had died on June 18.

Hundreds of his patients will mourn for the brilliant surgeon whose caring dedication and skill restored them to life and health.

It comes as no surprise to learn he endured his last illness as he did his exhausting life - ‘ with courage and dignity’. Rest in peace.
